Action West Loch is now a registered Scottish charity

We're delighted to announce that Action West Loch became a registered Scottish charity on 2 November 2026. We are now a Scottish Charitable Incorporated Organisation (SCIO), entered on the Scottish Charity Register with the number SC055809.
Registration is a milestone for everyone who has given their time to AWL, and it puts our work on a firmer footing as we seek funding and build partnerships for the years ahead.
As a charity, we work for environmental protection and citizen science around West Loch Tarbert: restoring habitats from Atlantic rainforest and native woodland to the burns, wetlands and marine environments of the loch; conserving native plants and animals; protecting ecosystems from pollution and degradation; and monitoring the effects of climate change.
Thank you to all our members, volunteers and partners. If you'd like to get involved in citizen science, survey work or practical conservation, please get in touch at paul@actionwestloch.org.
